Excellent sketch, relative to my skills. Notching the shaded area leaves you pretty thin to win with whats left of the metal. But it was a consideration for me until I saw MJ's version. I might be able to perform a half assed DIY at home.

So rotor is still the same size as stock, just a better rotor, and better pads. Have I got that right?

I'm interested in this too. On my 1st gen, I did Centric rotors (non-slotted) and pads, and it was a remarkable improvement. Base on that alone, I'd do the same on this truck when it is time. I'd rather not go through BBK and 17s to improve braking.

Hey guys I’m new to Cali and all it’s emission laws. I’m upsizing to 285/75s and looking at doing the speedo recalibration but the hyper tech website says it’s not Cali compliant.

#1. Is there any concern/reason to think just increasing tire size would effect the emissions test?

#2. Does it matter the recalibration tool isn’t Cali compliant?

    Thanks!

    ...too much shit to list.
    1) No
    2) No. It's not California compliant because it's not CARB approved.

Just do the math in your head. Normally play at 10% to be safe. If your speedo says 70, you’re actually doing 77.

As a side note, your odo will display roughly -10% of “real” miles.
