Haha that looks familiar, once you've done it a couple times it's not that bad. The first one blows though, on the bright side after the second you can get the dash off in like 15mins.

Also @BartMaster1234 DON'T mess with the pinion side of the diff, if it is dry or barely just seeping just leave it alone. Messing with the preload and lash isn't worth it just to replace a seal that's probably fine.

It gave me that plus 3 or 4 other ailments before it was over with, LOL. I got it all buttoned back up, hooked up the neg. battery cable and now the radio and my LED bumper, ditch, bed and rear lights don't work, the only that i know i did not reconnect is the cigarette lighter thinking I never use it so why worry about it, I'm thinking those items must have picked up power from there. I have ordered a 1st gen din switch plate from Paranoid Fabrications because i could not get the switches to fit back in place the way they were before i tore all of that shit out of there. I will try to figure out the lack of power when i put the new switch plate in, hopefully its just a matter of plugging the cig lighter back in.

    You should check with @gunny1005

I ordered through him and he was able to get the same parts for less.

Gotcha. Any other seals I should replace before I swap everything? I'm doing the rear main seal while I have the tranny off.

Rear main is good practice if you have the tranny off, not a hard job. I didn't do mine because I forgot to order one before I started the job, got lucky and it has never leaked.

Rear main seal is leaking on my W210 E320. I took one look at factory service diagrams Mercedes provides and noped the hell out of there.

After looking at a wiring diagram for Mercedes I am so thankful for how easy to read the Toyota diagrams are.

Yeah he prices everything shipped IIRC. He's the cheapest OEM part source I've found.

Local Toyota dealer wants $17.87 for a tube of FIPG. He was asking like, $8 or $9 dollars I think.

Nice choice on pro-comp wheels and tires. In the spring, my son will be running the the same setup except machined lip and 315/70/17's on his 2nd gen with 6" of lift.
    How do the tires ride?

Thanks for the heads up. I've heard about the squeak issue. Is it difficult to get the front bushings out?

Went to order some Cooper STT Pros and got talked out of them fast. Anyone have issues with them? I currently have KO2s and they're a great tire but I want something a bit more aggressive for the rocks. Thinking about MTRs now.

I went from duratracs to KO2's and am about to mount my STT Pros. What did you find bad about the STT Pros?

Called a tire shop to get a price and the guy was saying they are weaker than duratracs. Ive had duratracs and will never buy them again lol. According to all the reviews online, the STT pros sound like a wicked tire!

I don't know anything about the STT Pros, but if you're willing to throw down for the MTRs, you will not be disappointed.

Interesting. I ran Duratracs for over 4 years and had at least 50k on them when I removed them. No issues at all except for the tail end when they were louder and harder to balance but I'm sure that's the same with most if not all tires. In fact, I threw them on the truck again temporarily and they're still usable.

My bro in law had the same exact tires and he went through them quicker than I did even though I put more miles on mine...could have been due to alignment issues on his rig. Nonetheless, I never experienced any issues with my duractracs. Just wanted to try something different so I picked up the STT Pros about a month ago (based on what I read online as well). No choice for me but to go for it now. Thanks for the info and happy tire hunting.

Just my .02 cents, I haven't read up on MTR's recently but from what I remember, unless you're off road 50% of the time or more, there are other tires out there that are less expensive and perform better based on what you use them for. They do look aggressive as hell though. In fact, I definitely thought of going that route before I decided on the STT Pros. Happy tire hunting!!!

There you go! Always best to hear from people that actually own and use these expensive tires that we all have to buy...haha.
