Still seems like an "Apple upgrade" of marginal benefit, but it would be cool to be able to select switch color.

 

The stock battery on my 2010 just crapped out when my wife was driving the truck last night *evil laugh*. I'd like to upgrade so what do you guys recommend/use? Is it even worth upgrading or should I just go to Autozone?

 

I got my last battery at Batteries Plus, I have had great luck with their warranty program.

 

If you drive down to the bullfrog marina at lake Powell, they'll sell you an optima for hundreds of dollars.

Same here, both trucks have batteries from Batteries Plus.

 

I've had good luck with Advance Auto. Plus, if you order online, you can almost always find a 20% or 30% coupon. Purchase online for pickup in the store.

 

That's exactly how I felt, marginal benefits if any at all for most. The short circuit protection appears to be new which would essentially eliminate the need for fusing, I couldn't find that in the 8100 description.

If i needed higher out put for lights i might get the new one but for now still need to fill 4 switches

 

I've never been to Batteries Plus. I'll have to check them out.

 

I went to autozone. Got an optima redtop. It was swapped under warranty a few years ago but it didn't cost me anything when I had to warranty it

 

Just ordered my holiday gift to myself. The correct sway bar bushing size so I can finally finish that job correctly.

 

Should've just bought an angle grinder instead

 

No bushings needed for the garage floor mod

 

I know... all the cool kids say "rip the facker out!"

But I like having the sway bar on considering 99.4% of my driving is on road. I'll probably get the quick disconnect end links eventually for when I do hit the trails.

And honestly I hated the feeling of no sway bar when I was driving around waiting for my end links to come in the mail.
