New Member to Taco World

I have loved Tacoma's ever since I was a kid; I bought my first one when I was 22 and traded it in 2 years later for a 4x4 TRD. I have put a lot of miles on this one with two road trips from where I live in ATL GA to the West Coast. This past summer I built a bed in the back and lived out of my truck for two months out West. I have made a few mods to this one: It has a 3inch leveling kit, 33inch Nitto tires, PrInSu roof rack, Wilco hitch swing tire mount, Avid offroad light bar, and a best top soft camper shell. My upcoming upgrades are rock guards/side steps, get rid of the awful leveling kit for a new suspension, some ditch lights, I would love a new bumper and winch......basically the list goes on and on. A little bit about myself: I love my truck, GOOD Beer, Guns and doing stuff outside. I camp, backpack, rock climb, kayak, mountain bike, surf, stand up paddle board; basically anything outside and my truck is always there caring my friends and gear to whatever crazy thing we come up with next. I have used Tacoma World as a reference for a few thing but now I have some questions to ask and am ready to answer any questions anyone has for me as well.

Start a build thread then. Put them to use

 

Again I'm new to being active on TW; so Im sorry if i ask dumb questions. build tread? what would be the definition of that? I would assume a thread where i just post my truck and answer question and get recommendation on what upgrades to do?

Also is there a way i can tag someone in a thread? like call them out to look at a question i have about their roof rack? or should i just go to the thread where i saw it and ask about it there even though its a old thread?

Yeah man, a build thread is a thread you start about the build of your truck. Usually people start with how it sits currently and then uploads pics of all the upgrades they did as they went along with info about it. What it is, how you like it, how easy/hard it was to install, places you have been with your truck, and of course pics of you wheeling your truck, etc.

You can tag someone specifically in a post that they will see as a notification by putting the @ symbol and the typing their username without a space in between. It should auto populate for you.
