    Good to hear.

I have heard massive negatives with the famous KO2 BFG tires since they came out. Not surprised you having better luck with the Falken.

That' what I am hearing. Another reason I am looking at them. No issues with my diesel other than looking for something cheaper and capable of towing an 8k enclosed trailer.

Haha. I hear that. I stick with Toyo AT2. They have served me too well.

Wait, what? A Taco, like Meatloaf, won't do that.

When we went and looked to buy our Tacoma (this is before I found Tacoma world and knew how much these guys hate 3rd gens :D so we were going in completely unbiased). We were looking for an SR 4x4 they had one on the main dealer lot but it had the TRD grill witch I wasn't to big on so the dealer had another one on a different lot so we test drove that Tacoma (it drove the way it was suppose) to the other lot where they keep most of their cars so then we look at the other one and decided we wanted it so we drove that one we decided to take it with the salesman back to the dealer to work out a deal and holy shit it was like driving different truck, the thing was sluggish and just wasn't driving as good as the first one, then when we stepped out it smelled like something was burning. The salesman swore the truck was just breaking in lol. We ended up going to a different dealer and picking up an SR5 and its just as capable. My advice is if you find one that you don't like the way it drives test a different one to confirm you don't like the truck.

The negatives have been carried over from the older KO series. Out of round requiring a huge mass to balance and poor compounding. I hear this from all my local tire shops.

As far as your personal experience. Glad you like them. It's good to hear a positive review on them once in a while.

Well that is no fun. I would be doing an add-a-leaf and level to tow that weight. I've towed heavy with a buddies first gen and we were right at 7k. It did just fine other than MPG loss.

I have test drove a 16 SR5 but that was before the updates and TSB's. It was sluggish with a huge dead pedal.

I'm sure they are different now.

I bought my first tacoma about 2 months ago. 2017 Trd off road long bed I really like the truck. I also have a diesel that does my heavy lifting so I haven't towed with it. I get 21 mpgs.

Outside of the Howling Rear Diff my only real complaint is lack of Low End Torque, 1st time I drove it felt like an old VW Bus towing a Motorhome behind it. Once you learn to adjust your driving style to the Truck it is really not too bad, otherwise it looks great, rides nice, handles and stops good, is not too big or too small, and best of all comes with a Manual Trans!

A howling diff is an issue. Has it been checked out?
