Yep, easiest to just replace the lower control arm. The best way to get them out is with a thin disc on the hand grinder. Cut the bolts. I've had to do it on ever damn Toyota truck I've owned.

Heard nothing but raving things about the STT pro.

MTR's are amazing in the dirt. Terrible choice for a dd/weekend warrior though considering their price and wear life.

Anyone know if it is okay to break the 13WL calipers apart? Would it make the rebuild easier? I’m pretty much done with getting these clean.

Just did some more research. I think I'm sold on the Stt pros. It was just one person that didn't recommend them. Not going to let that bother me haha. Thanks for the opinion on the MTRs. My trucks a daily driver

Nope! OME Dakars (got the front/rear OME kit with greaseable shackles from @HeadStrong Off-Road), mine were loud as hell too until I swapped the front bushings for the greaseable daystar ones from @Wheeler's Off-Road Inc. I rented a ball joint press to press out the the OME front leaf bushings. It was a super quick job and HeadStrong and Wheelers are always a pleasure to do business with. The bolt sleeve on the OME bushings up front scrape against the front hanger and that's what makes them so loud. I think the daystar's are around 30 bucks or so. Definitely worth it.

Not recommended from what I've read.

This is a good video on the Tundra caliper rebuild. It's the one I used.

That’s what I’ve been following too, but I couldn’t find anywhere the answer to taking it apart. But I’ll just leave it be.

Anyone got some good recommendations for a cat back system, I've been looking at the 15811 magnaflow kit but it seems like a lot. a nice low rumble would be nice (i know that's hard with a v6).

I can't remember which second gen guy I follow on Insta who had multiple sidewalls split on his STT pros but it was some serious splittage. I could see the bands showing when I watched the video so I can only imagine how bad it was in person. I run the BFG KM2's for grip on the rocks (can't go wrong with the Krawler's little brother) and I have personally pinched the side walls on some gnarly rocks with NO damage. I chipped the powder coat on my wheels in multiple places from the rock and all the tires had on them was a little space dust.

TIRE OPTION: FALKEN WILDPEAK M/T!!! These tires are on my buddy's truck (33x12.5x15). They are SUPER grippy, ride damn near like an A/T, AND are very affordable. I think he paid less than $700 (maybe closer to 600) for a set off 4 with free shipping off of eBay. I would look into them if you daily your rig, want a good ride, and want a tough tire. They'll honestly probably the next tire I go with.

EDIT for link ($780 shipped for 285's): https://www.ebay.com/itm/LT285-75R1...ash=item4d4fc86f11:g:EXYAAOSwm3paIc-L&vxp=mtr

What you are going through right now, is exactly why I'll be buying these when I get ready to do my swap.
