Tires larger than 35's running on a stock 1st Gen?

Does anyone have a 1st gen on either stock height or 3 inch lift with any tire size bigger than 35's? If so, let's see them!

 

I want to see it too.

 

Wouldn't you rather have tires that fit? 31" tires on mine fit nicely, do the job well, ride and turn smooth, and they look great!

 

No.

To put 35” tires alone on a first gen take a lot of fabricating work. Most people don’t even try.

 

it's impossible to fit tires this big on a stock truck, as 31" tires is the max you can put without having to lift the truck (or cutting into the fenders if you don't want a lift)

Not stock anymore when you do that

 

35's require tubbing the firewall even on a 3" lift, sooooo no....

 

However... I do love to go surgical on the Taco

 

Strange. Many people with 3rd gen 4runners run 35s without tubbing. Pretty close to the same as the 1st gen front wheel well. Correctly tuned SPC arms with the pinch weld hammered works pretty well.

 

GTFOH with your logic before you make me go buy 35's. I've already had to tell myself three different times this week that I don't NEED 35's.

From the sounds of it, you need to go buy 35”s and find out that they won’t fit. That will make the temptation less.

Little easier on second gens to fit 35s. 1st gens to fit and clear 35 properly takes alot of work

Yeah i only have to cut 2 1/2 inches off the fenders and beat everything else that rubs with a sledgehammer
