Yeaaaah tell me about it. I have an autoimmune disease which means blood tests baby. I've put a few bucketfuls in the 'ol collection vials by now.
Sneaky sons of bitches managed to get blood tests determining that I had Hashimoto's and Lupus / Rheumatoid Arthritis written off as a "pre-existing condition."
I went to the doctor and said "my joints hurt" which meant that the diagnosis was pre-existing. :jerkoff::jerkoff::jerkoff::jerkoff::jerkoff::jerkoff::jerkoff::jerkoff::jerkoff::jerkoff::jerkoff:

Like imagine going to the hospital... "OWWW MY LEG, I FELL OFF MY BIKE!"
Well, the X-rays show you have a broken leg, but because that leg was broken before you got the X-ray it's a pre-existing condition and you gotta pay for everything.

Don't even get me started. When it first passed my liberal friends were like "oh this will be so great for you Kyle, because you lost your job (layoff) and you have a preexisting condition life will be so much easier for you! Praise our chocolate Jesus for bringing light to the world!"
I got a letter within a week that said "fuck you get lost" and I got dropped off my unemployment health coverage.
Oh but don't worry, they let me buy it back a month later at double the cost.
And then every year after the coverage went down and the premium went up.

    Yeah I'm mad. :bananadead:

I am a lucky SOB, my wife works for a major lab company. I have gotten an MRI every couple of years for the last 15 years. Before I was married it was close to $800 an MRI... now, $35. X-Rays are like $5 and blood work is free.

Everything else sucks as normal. Go to a specialist and they get all their money back.

Not sure if we are allowed to fundraise here (or should?), but anyways the wife and I are raising money to buy Christmas presents for a 11 year old boy.

    1) WTF do 11 year old boys what? All I gave a shit about at that age was bmx, pocketknives, and seeing scrambled titties on old school cable channels we didn’t have.

    2) Anyone who wants to donate, feel free to hit me up, and I’ll share the entire story about why we are doing it.
