Screw a sick day... I might just pack up and leave, and use up my last vacation days now to look for a new job so I don't have to come back.

This shit is a daily occurrence lately. I got "stuck" dealing with a vendor that used to be my co-workers, because of some changes and added things/responsibilities to our team a little over a year ago. my co-worker, very "wisely" decided to "give up" this one factory, so my boss at the time (who is no longer here and left about 2 months ago), said it was fine and "gave" it to me. Granted it makes sense, because the volume we do with this one factory is a lot, and what he got added on was a large amount as well, so it offset. But the thing is, this factory is shitty at best. Never makes things on time, never ships on time obviously, and when they do ship, shit like this happens... they don't ship like we ask/want them to.

This factory has been a shit show since before I took over, a year ago, and it's still going on with no end in sight. So needless to say I'm getting "shit on" everyday about them, get "hate mail", and it's starting to get a bit annoying and intolerable.

 

Thats no good Nuno... life is too short for that bullshit.

 

Considering how many people on here have change the grills on their Toyotas, it's safe to say that the criticism factor if you changed yours would be zero. If you like the Denali grill, get it. Who cares if it looks like the screen on a Norelco shaver?

I've actually considered changing mine to the black XL grill so I wouldn't have to deal with waxing 8 chrome louvers.

 

Definitely. I'd like to think I do my job fairly OK, not even going to exaggerate and say I'm great at it, because I know I'm not, but at least I think I do OK and because of that, I take pride in it. When shit like this happens it makes me question whether or not I am doing as OK as I thought I was, even though it's something that's out of my control (whatever the factory does, or doesn't do). And, because I take pride in what I do, or try to do, I hold on to things and take the shitty day home with me.

We sell high end product for bathrooms. Anything you can think of that goes into a bathroom, we most likely sell, from the bigger stuff to the smaller stuff. Recently we got into the kitchen cabinetry business as well, but I don't handle any of the factories that make it, that we buy from. That is what was actually added to my co-worker.

I handle factories that make mosaics, that we buy from, and some ceramic tile manufacturers.

EDIT: I basically place purchase orders with them, and follow up to make sure we get ship dates, tracking info, etc. No contact with customers, just with the factories, and with our salespeople and Customer Service group.
