is there a big speaker on the rear pass side wheel well in the back? If so that's the factory subwoofer option.

 

Those are awesome increases compared to what I get. Non-union people get 1.5%/year, which is probably technically a decrease compared to inflation.

No bonuses either, because it's public sector. I get a small longevity payment once a year and occasionally they'll toss me a stipend if I have an involved project that's way beyond the scope of my normal job. That's it.

 

So if they evaluated my trade last night, do you think that means I can't take out my bed mat and toneau cover before I hand it into them? Not like it matters but I could make a few bucks there if they don't care about it.

 

I'd say take it off and see if they say something when you trade it in.

If not, then sell away!

 

Just remember I don't make a whole lot, and when your foreman tells you that you should at $3-$4 more an hour than what your making based off skills he has seen, then they try to keep you around because they like you on top of it all. That's the only real reason it was good like that

 

I don't think they care about the mat but they probably care about the toneau

 

That looks like the Bak revolver x2 and I've got one on my truck. I've had no complaints really, not perfectly watertight and the rails can droop inward a little but, I think all of that is fixable with a little effort put in. I also installed it myself so that could be part of the issue. The roll up leaves about half of the tacoma rear window open so you can see out and the roll takes up less space than a fold up with the last slat laying down.

 

It's good that they're catching you up to where you should be! Lots of times people have to look elsewhere.

I really don't make a whole lot either. Basically what a teacher would with comparable years in, but they are 10-month employees and I am 12-month.

 

I was basically told if it was bolted on or attached in some way, they care. If it's not, they don't.

I'm not saying I actually will get an extra dollar an hour, lol. Usually they offer something paltry like 25 cents or something of that nature.

That's why their visit irritates me. Company spends several thousand dollars on flights, rental cars, hotel rooms, and meals for 8 executives so that they can take 10 minutes to 'meet' with me and offer me a raise that works out to less than $1000 extra a year before taxes. Gee, thanks guys.

I'd be happier if they just stayed in New York, sent me an email or did a conference call, and then pay me the $$ the company saves by not having them travel.

 

Yeah, that's some bullshit right there.
