Am going from stock 2657016 to 2657516. This makes speedo off by about 2 mph. Is everyone who has done this just living with this or did you find a dealer who c ould and would recalibrate speedo for you? My dealer said they cant recalibrate it.

There is a way to recalibrate it yourself from your head unit. It is buried in one of the settings selections. I'm having a terrible time searching for it, but I will post the link if I find it first.

I have an SR5 so don't have the fancy head unit. My speedo is off about about 1 MPH at 70 with 265/70/17's. Not going to worry about it.

Yeah but for the amount of money you paid for a new truck, YOU WANT EVERYTHING TO BE PERFECT! Like a sweet 16 birthday party. If it’s not perfect, your life will be RUINED.

According to a dyno operator I met after I got a speeding ticket, factory calibration is +/- 5% so that increase in tire diameter might make you more accurate.

Prove me wrong but I believe that gps recalibration doesn't recalibrate your speedo. Only the speed built into the GPS.

I believe you will need a hypertech re calibration kit to adjust the needle on your dash

I went up 285/70-17’s I used some one else’s formula on here to figure out my mpg. You need your tire specs. Your old tire revolutions x mpg / new tire revolutions. I tried the adjustment thru tune it didn’t change a thing. I put the hyper tech on and it adjusted my mpg’s to the formula.

Correct. The entune recalibration didn't do anything in my truck. Tried it SEVERAL times, bought a hypertech instead.

Hypertech is the only current known solution.

While you can 'live' with the speedo error by using a GPS or calibrating in your brain, you have to decide if you want to live with the odo error or not.

I found it cheaper here in the link below $165.. It does say it will show trouble codes as well which could be useful. I just did 285/75/16 and just did a road trip to Moab, I did question my speed all the time. Above 60 mph, it appears to be off between 5-6mph based on my gps on my phone.. I also worry about my service periods so it a small detail, but it bothered me the entire time so going to get it done.

Tool seems so expensive for a one time use. Anyone sitting on one that will not be used again that can be passed around TW?

Dunno maybe shipping cost pus $10?
