Now those buffet's are great. The one at Rio is one of the best (what am I saying?).

I would temporarily break my oath of purity to hit the Rio buffet just one more time...:anonymous:

I’ve never partaken in a fountain.. if you put a flashlight into the air in any room, it’s full of dust, hair and whatever other shit is on the floor to be whisked up into the air when someone walks by. Chocolate fountains catch all of that, cover it in chocolate and hide it on your strawberry.

    No thanks.

As I get older and (especially) after completing a Doctorate degree, the more I find buffets and gluttony- disgusting. I used to hit them up all the time, but I haven't been to one in ~2 years. Generally, every visit to one is putting you several steps closer to the grave.

I wondered about those being a dust magnet...and a cough and sneeze detritus magnet.

Of all the Golden Corral offerings, I have never been tempted to try the chocolate fountain (of nasty). Always too many kids buzzing around those things.

If the Barbary Coast casino is still around, that was good. It's in the old Vegas section...a little seedier...I felt right at home :D

FWIW, asian restaurants or otherwise.. lack of regard for cleanliness, ethical business practices and consumer safety has nothing to do with ethnicity or cultures.

The worst I've seen was a middle aged white guy who flushes his beverage lines with the same mop bucket he uses in the bathrooms, and doesn't bother to rinse it, sanitize it, or anything else. Just takes the filthy mop out and fills it with water. Like anything else in life, anybody can be a scumbag.

The big Casinos usually have quite a selection of decent eats. The buffets aren't quite the bargain they used to be. Maybe check out Trip Advisor? They are not always right, but we've found them to be fairly reliable while out on the road.

No joke. Oh man... if everyone ate like I did at buffets, these guys would be claiming a business loss on their tax forms.

I'd say 75% of every buffet in my area has closed down, that says something
