Thanks, my best friend had a base model Silverado that he got about 300k miles out of, towing boats and sleds like I do. I think I will like this truck, it's really nice.

The tail gate does lock remotely, so that will be great. I don't really think I can stand on this one that rolls up but maybe?

But it's a crappy radio with a range of about 100ft. I think I need to upgrade all around

That it true as well... I dont use any of that knowledge, its mostly for the folks who are making their own radios

The new FRS/GMRS regs allow for a ton of potential for cheap easy and fairly clear comms in the offroad world... but I doubt they will ever catch on... to many people invested in CB or ham already and not real need for another option. It just sort of blends the two.

If it's the BAK Revolver X2 (which is the stock photo you posted), it's rated at 400 lbs. Mine had the same rating and I was able to stand on mine without any deflection.

With all the cb talk it reminds me to ask..... for those that were there Sunday, was I coming thru ok? We run the big cobra classics in the trucks at work with Wilson whips and they work great. We get about a three mile range. I went with the basic cobra with a mag mount antenna in the taco. Not sure if I was putting out very good. I can definitely hear very well though.

Thanks. My preference is manual, makes the day go by A LOT faster and i actually have to think (unless I'm doing a setup and have to do that and work shifts)

I couldn't hear you very well I think, probably just the small antenna, I couldn't hear Nate well either when we were on DPT

I love my new truck but miss my Tacoma
OK sure but you don't need to change where you mounted it unless your not happy with it. To me it makes a lot of sense where you mounted it
Cool good to know. I know Drew was at the end of the line and I was at the front most of the day so I'd say my range can be improved a bit by tuning

I hope this pic is mid-install of that head unit. I could not drive my truck around like that... and I even have very low standards

Paint @jpereira2 :anonymous: but this wheel was pretty rusted, so it needed paint anyway. Figure I’ll just paint it black if I don’t like it. But I kinda like it haha
