As much as I can til' my wife blocks my Amazon account...
Mine fit pretty loose right from the git go...put a smidge of clear silicone sealer on the knob where the shaft goes in....no more problems.

You're very welcome! They can be found on Amazon for around $50. Warn makes one.

:D yeah I figure I'll spend about $120 on supplies and save myself a couple hundred buckaroos.
It seems like this is the easiest way to get a black one too, which is what I have.

I think that's what I'm going to do as well. I can just lightly pull on them now and they slide on and off

The stealership wanted several $100 to fix my leaking return line.. WHO would've thought I could do it myself in about 20min and less than $20!!!!!!!Looks like I'm not contributing to the next ''ground breaking''

I've never had a group of strangers celebrate with me so much like the time I posted that I paid mine off. It really is a special feeling. Keep going! You're almost there!

I really don't have an issue with my local dealer doing some work, but I try to do most of it myself. Everything at a dealership requires at least 1 hour of labor (@ $120 per hr), $50 worth of "shop supplies", and another $30 to dispose of those "shop supplies" in an environmentally safe manner. Years ago one of the cup holders in my Ranger broke and the dealership replaced it under warranty. The balance was zero to me, but the invoice they sent to Ford had $100 worth of parts, labor, shop supplies and disposal. I mean WTF?

I looked at the 8900 HARD (they don't sell the *800 models anymore?) but I don't think I would use crossband, etc. I do wish the 7900 could do dual receive, but I'm sure I'll live.

No, Yaesu does not make/sell them anymore. You might find a a new one still in stock somewhere else or find a good deal on a used one.

I did do a (cursory) look before I bought my 7900 but couldn't find one for a reasonable resale.

Scangauge or ultraguage which is best? Can you just order one or does it need to be vehicle specific
