    So I’ve cerakoted a few guns and I’m very impressed with the product... so I thought I’d try coating some stuff in my truck. I went with a black on blue distressed look and I think I like it. I’m also yanking the FMIC and changing it to a water cooled. I want a winch badly and the spot where my IC is is the only place I can put it.8488415A-D8BB-4AD1-A9A2-5770598EAD4D.jpg

    Powerfab no longer sells them as the welder who made them went their separate ways. You could do what @yota243 did with some headers and used it as turbo manifolds.

    I just bought stainless short tube headers and pre bent tube and stuff.

    Doug Thorley used to sell their flanges. You could check with them and JBA headers. AFe also makes headers, so you could check with them as well.

    I have flanges, out of 321 stainless ( I like to over do it) but they aren't for sale. Or at least no one will want to buy a set @$400.

    I'm partial to them. 1/2" thick and for 1.75" primaries. Bidding a little high because I don't want to get rid of them. There are no others, unless someone else makes them...

    I'm surprised at the drastic seat of the pants feel between 80 deg. and 50 deg. outside temp. The truck runs a lot stronger in colder weather. I thought that was an indication of running rich not lean (old school Holley carbs):notsure:

    Yesterday I received my pistons back from swain tech coatings and wanted to share. I got their gold coat on top and pc-9 on the skirts.

    I have unfortunately hit a small delay for my build. I want to have the block honed with torque plates installed. I didn’t expect any machine shops between San Diego and LA to have torque plates for the 1GR, so I figured I would have to purchase my own. When I called to order them the price was a little over double what I initially budgeted for. I hope to get the torque plates by mid February and then I can keep moving forward. The good news is I will have torque plates for the 1GR and I’m sure we can work something out if anyone needs to use them.

    Very nice!

    I do have a set of torque plates. However, since they were used on my big bore engine, the holes had to be over-bored to match. Per my machinist, they are only good for that bore now. Doesn't exactly make sense to me, but those are his words.

    No it’s definitely the ECU. My truck has a very different powerband too... you can really tell that it retards the timing in hot weather.
    The boost level is odd too... on hot days, the boost gauge will read 7ish PSI and on cold days it gets up to 9PSI.
