What size MTRs? I really want a set but they’re super expensive and probably aren’t any good for a mall crawler.

Well yeah. I’d like to do the outboard purely for vanity purposes but I’m not big on the 1.5” spacers you have to run.

285/70r17 with 17 inch method racing standards

I don’t know we shall see, I will mostly be on road, my work truck. My 17 I don’t drive her much. The tires ride great a little sound while driving but not bad!!
So far I love them over my nittos and Toyos they are super sexy for sure, way bigger lugs than I thought!! Can’t wait to hit trails in spring with Tc guys!!

Damn, I’ll have a trail rig someday so I can go to some meets. Don’t want to ding my new truck.

Just picked up a 60 Gallon Campbell Hausfield air compressor, sandblaster, and delta drill press for $400. Damn this was terrifying to drive on the highway. The air compressor stuck up about 3-4 feet above the roof of the cab.

    Yup!

I bought a parts washer from the dude for $20 bucks and told me he was moving and was selling other stuff.

Nice guy. He had a 2000 Tacoma PreRunner v6 parked next to the compressor. And a $80k 2018 Corvette Z06, that was fun to see.

    no not really.

Moving the shock in or out of the center point of the axle changes the ride way more. It has to do with the lever ratio and how directly related the shock is to the wheel travel.

Outboard makes it more directly related. So i makes it more stable.

If not done right though you loose wheel travel.

Either way, with valving black magic your can make in board shocks ride amazing and totally botch outboard shocks to ride like shit.

Cool. Shock relocate in the rear is on the list. This way I can get some race shocks and play with the valving.

I just need to decide on what to do with the springs. I really don’t want to go more than 1” of lift this time. I’d like to go with some deavers for a super soft spring and let the shocks do the work. Problem is I put weight in the bed about every other week. So I’m gonna have to settle somewhere. Any suggestions on this?

I'm sure it would be an excellent manual...

    Sure it would!

    1) check em..maybe. use oem stuff. Change them every 50-90k. Locktite is your friend.
    2) tight is right. Don't be a puss.
    3) atempt to do this. Realize you hate diffs. Pay a pro.
