Im running Yakima qtowers on cab and control towers on shell with baskets. Very strong. I recently moved, and l loaded them up with a bunch of stuff. I highly recommend the Yakima roof racks. You can piece a set together for about 50% of original retail price.

 

I did not want to drill in cab so i used Yakima clips for easy removal. Profile is high though.

 

They're tall, but the I think the height looks good on your truck

 

Idk what this is called I saw it in the second Gen forum, but do they make these for first gens? Makes the engine bay look cleaner, wires aren't everywhere

 

Dumb question, but you sure you got all the bolts? IIRC there are some very hard to get to ones on the very top.

I think a better book to read would be "Brett's Rants", it's very entertaining.

 

Yep I checked to make sure there were no more bolts about 10 times. The top ones were a pain to get but I got em.

 

How are your 5100s and eibachs treating you?

You can put in BUSS boxes. At least that's what I did. Has 5 relays and 10 fuses.

 

So how do you get home? They're in the middle of nowhere - do you go down the highway 15 minutes at a time to thermally cycle the gears? Seems like a long drive home.

 

Thanks, i dont mind the height either. I could drive into my old garage but i cannot in my new place. I could install the brackets upside down and drop it a couple of inches but the bracket will take up basket space. Oh well.
