I'm looking at a 2012 sport with the Magnuson supercharger. What an I looking at in terms of long term reliability? The truck currently has 135k on it. The supercharger is a new addition and doesnt have many miles on it. Do these need constant maintenance? I do know it has 2.85 pulley and larger fuel pump with URD headers.

No additional maintenance other than a fluid change (at a fairly long interval I can't exactly recall currently) and belt changes.

That is a lot of miles, nothing wrong with that BUT I would be more concerned with how the vehicle was cared for those miles more so than a new supercharger.

Superchargers do hurt long term longevity. Can't avoid that, but if you want a supercharged truck you want a supercharged truck right ;)

Will the supercharger add to the tow capacity?

No, that's limited by the transmission, suspension, and the brakes, not the power.

That's not high mileage, even with a supercharger. She's finally out of the break in period.

As long as it was well-maintained, I say buy it if the price is right.

SC will make your towing experience more pleasant, especially at highway speeds, but won't increase the towing capacity. As mentioned above, brakes are the main factor there.

Is it manual or auto trans? The stock clutch in a manual can't handle the supercharger. The auto is no problem.

What? My clutch is fine, the blower was a dealer installed option. Toyota wouldn't have put them on if they blew out clutches. Will it reduce clutch life? Maybe, but there are plenty of guys with stock clutches and blowers who haven't had problems.

How many miles have you put on with the SC? I don't have one. I've read quite a few times that these clutches can't handle it, if you drive it hard.

Mines recent, but more then half the guys over on xru have had them for ages. The guys running small pulleys and extra injectors upgrade, but basically everyone with a stock setup like me is on the stock clutch.
