    Dodging tumbleweeds
    John bought a house.
Apparent bad divorce with previous owners.
    Woman loses mind.
Shows up one night with a key and just came walking through the house while John was out back with guests.
She came back next day and didn’t remember anything. John got key back.
John talks about getting order of protection against her because she’s probably cray cray.
    Sounds like she came back.

I'm in this camp, even if she strapped his ankles to a 4x4 and broke them with a demo hammer afterwards...

Yeah that's what I'm hoping happens with me, when I asked them today when I was going to the day shift, one of them said there wasn't that position anymore and I've already trained the guy who's taking my position, and then I decided to ask 2 other supervisors and they wanted to all give me different answers, hopefully they don't try to screw me over, I don't feel like going to HR and making complaints. :argue:

    Weird story..
Had a dream that my wife, dog, and I went to visit @RPS1030 & @Daria. Low and behold he has his very own locomotive! Had tracks coming right up to the house and all. Took us all for a ride on some scarily rough/uneven tracks from his place out towards the desert. Of course there was some type of parade going on while we were trying to get from his tracks out onto the mainline and each crossing had a gal with a sign to stop traffic while we crossed.

I guess a combo of this site and work caused this dream, or something ;)

Pretty much this. Gaia and I were the guests. She appeared to be drunk, but she could also be a Xanex user. Although, I wasnt sure she used a key the 1st time, she just walked in.

I don't think he felt the need at 1st, nor did he have the time. He had the keys only a few days and needed to get 2 storage units emptied before the new month.

Word of advice to anyone who buys a house. Have all the replacement locks with you when you get the keys. The first thing you do when you walk into your "new" home is change the locks or have a locksmith rekey it. You never know how many "spare" keys for your home are out there. It is money well spent for the peace of mind it gives you.

Rental homes as well, I would replace the tumblers and keep the old ones to put back when we moved out. Old tenants may keep keys for nefarious reasons.

Check with your renter/company. Sometimes they will cover the cost of this, sometimes they require to have at least one key. You want to start out right with them.

I was renting a house from a major realtor company, when I asked about the locks, they said they had a contract with a locksmith. For $20 charge, he rekeyed the whole house, gave us enough keys for all renters, and gave the company their required copy.

Did you upgrade that the type that allows you to rekey yourself? Or are you just learning the locksmith trade?

I have the ones that allow you to re-key yourself. Swapped them in within hours of closing on my house.

also a lock on any back gates is advisable, and a lock on the power box is a good idea too

I did all this as well, changed all my doors and put better locks in general on everything not the house the day we bought it. Then pad lock on the gate latch so it won’t budge until removed, and lock on power box.

And how many of them have mad copies and loaned those out?

Or their crazy X's stealing the keys and plotting to come for your stuff?
