Yea, exactly. Enough to make you wonder and then really wonder if it is for a Tundra by mistake. But they are engraved on the back. I mean, I am happy it is as large as it is considering how bad ass it looks, and the cost. Why I know the blacked out grill will make it look even better! This weekend for sure come hell or high water..........

The 2016+ Tacoma emblem is the same as the 07-13 Tundra, identical in every way.
But the largest emblem is the 2014+ Tundra.
    They're really big emblems.

Well, like i said, I would not complain if it filled from the bottom of the grill to the top. This thing truly is a work of art. I just hope I plastidip (my first time) the grill well enough to do it justice. I actually bought the Glossifier to add some shine to the black and to help bring up the quality of the look.

I recommend you wash your grille well and make sure it's completely dry.
It may help if you clean it afterwards with Isopropyl alcohol, I did that with good results.

Yea, I was going to use a nylon bristled brush with Dawn dish detergent and scrub the heck outta it really good, both front and back. Then yes, use alcohol afterwards, then use my air gun with a soft rag to ensure it is completely dry. I am going to spray it in my garage laying on the floor, on paper. I will start with the back side of the grill so that I get accustomed to the plasti dip and how it applies. Then I will flip it over and do the front. I plan on keeping the spray can submersed in hot water in the sink in the house in between spraying coats. I watched a you tube vid and they recommended warming it up in colder months even though there is no temp listed on the can. The visual results were dramatic. Speckles vs an actual spray. I plan on doing at least 6 very light coats letting it dry a minimum of 30 minutes each time, and maybe longer as the coats get thicker. My garage is no less than 50 degrees this time of year so I will plug in a space heater to help bring it up but since it is part of the house that is partially underground the temp is pretty consistent unless I keep the door open. After it dries a couple hours I will begin with the clear gloss. It will likely be an all day process since it is so cold now here.

SR5, painted the bezel mat black with glossy clear cote. Wasn't perfect but even up close hard to see anything.

Got her geared up for winter with 265/70R16 General AT2's from my old Tacoma... It took me a while to find a set of wheels I liked. Added the Caliraised LED side projecting Ditch lights. Also new grill and side steps (no sliders - my passengers require side steps) :bikewhoops:

Just got around to blacking the mesh grille out... 1000x better looking IMO. Also de-badged the doors/tailgate and added mudflaps. On the inside, I swapped out the stock knob for the 2nd gen TRD ball and matched it with cement-colored inserts on the glovebox (these also match the grey "Tacoma" stamped on the floor-mats). Added a bed mat and some harness attachment points for the pooches, too.

Anybody on this thread have a charcoal softopper with the inferno color? I do like tan the best with most other colors... just not quicksand or inferno. I know black looks good with anything but I've had black convertible tops before and it's annoying when they start to fade...

Lookin good! you should blacken the chrome bumper first (or buy the OEM black ones to replace the chrome). The black bumpers look great with the Inferno

Yeah the black bumpers do look really good with inferno. I actually don't mind the chrome on the rear bumpers since they have the black middle section to offset them. I feel like the chrome/black look on the back sort of matches what I have going on with the grille (not a fan of the totally blacked out look up there) and also the off-road wheels have the black/chrome thing going on. Chrome bumpers sort of remind me of the original gen1 tacos/4runners too. Looks like the black covers are $185 on ebay - might change my mind down the road (or just plasti-dip them).

Going back to the softopper thing - this is the only pic I can find that mixes an orange(ish) color with the charcoal softopper. I think this combo looks amazing... but the inferno color has a bit more red in it. Not sure if I should play it safe and get black or take a chance on the lighter charcoal color for the topper?! What do you guys think?
