I'm making something, just haven't decided what that something is yet.

Looks like the base for some bolognese, just add shredded carrots and cook down then add tomato paste and red wine. Carrots optional but adds sweetness.

I have some sausage and orzo on the counter. This might work out!

Bingo! If no carrots just add a tbsp of sugar.

I could go pull a couple ground frozen ones from the garden but I know they'd suck :)

the carrots should be good, I thought I read somewhere they dont freeze because the sugars in the ground work as anti-freeze and makes them sweeter. I could be wrong though.

Huh. I'll have to try one this weekend. It seems too cold outside to walk across my backyard :) I'm weak,I know.

Man that looks mighty tasty. Was telling my wife I need to make some chicken parm just the other day. Need to get some time and make my sauce.

I love carrots in stew. Last pot I made I added too many carrots and it was surprisingly sweet. Never thought about that until it was too late.

Yeah, this is just diced tomatoes, bit of sugar and some italian spices. It's all I had on hand and didn't feel like making sauce, so I just dumped it in the cast iron pan when I put it in the oven (after I pan fried the chicken for a few minutes). Chicken turned out pretty damned good - very juicy.

I made baked Chicken Alfredo today for the first time. It was OK but it needed more sauce.

I think many times most Alfredo needs more of that liquid gold. :)

what I dont like about alfredo is I eat too much of it then if theres any leftovers the butter separates when you reheat it, but I still finish the meal off though;)

Ya it's never the same reheated, still some pretty darn good stuff though. I wouldn't kick it off the plate (well I would but it's being kicked into my mouth).

I made some caramel popcorn last night, my first attempt IIRC. It turned out pretty good with the betty crocker recipe...
