Officials are over careful ever since they had people and cars stranded a few years age. I give them a couple more years and they will forget.

I figure if you are to stupid to look after yourself then, that's your problem. You can't always rely on someone to tell you what to do. People need to take responsibility for their self and their own actions.

it's not the cold or current weather, if there's any chance...I mean any like 0.000001% chance that it could turn snowy/icy then Alabama shuts down lol. It's stupid in some regards, it's safe in others. I think it's overly cautious and like Allen said, let Mother Nature do it's thing, and it will sort itself out lol.

20 odd years ago, it became OK (or popular?) to blame someone else for your problems. (This idea started at the top...) The idea of blaming others and taking no self responsibility snowballed from there. Hence, where we are today.
