I was thinking the same thing. This one is more BS. There should be another one formatted the same as the mid travel thread (https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/mtbs-2-0.410188/) where there’s a link in the OP to “what it is” “how it works” “recommended wallets” “how to keep it safe” etc.

Few weeks ago when I got into Crypto currency game my wife was complaining about the money I sent in. Fast Forward to last night and I showed her much profit I'm at now she started complaining that I did not send in more!

All threads in TacomaWorl eventually become a BS thread lol.

I have done two transactions with two seperate visa credit cards on Coinbase and both went through. The second one was just now for $300 towards BTC and I got a call from my bank ensuring it wasn't fraud lol.

Well I just started opening up a coinbase account. I'm scared to death of stocks, gambling, etc. But figured I'd give a try with a few dollars. Gonna have to go back and reread a bunch of this thread to figure out what to do next lol

Was gonna cover this in the new thread too :)

Hardware wallet >/= Paper Wallet > Desktop Wallet > Mobile Wallet > Online Wallet

That's how I feel about them. Hardware wallets are nice because they are offline, secure, and redeemable (if you remember your word code). These cost money and are overkill (imo) if you haven't invested that much. It's a nuisance to transfer from Hardware wallet -> online wallet everytime you want to make a transaction.

I personally use a Desktop wallet. Many options for these. Exodus or Jaxx are most popular.

Rule of thumb is to never keep your wallet where it can be breached. For example, online wallet's can be hacked (i.e. MtGox). Desktop Wallet's installed on a malicious computer can be stolen. Same with mobile. Paper wallets, your house can burn down and lose all of it with no backup. etc etc.

    Edit - Recent hacking :/

Ahhh. Mainly do my stuff at work, so don't want a desktop wallet and don't want to keep my BTC at home when I may need them at work or something.

So would mobile wallet be ok for small amounts?

I've never used a mobile wallet, but it's same principal as Desktop Wallet. I believe it's redeemable as well. For example, when you setup a desktop/mobile wallet it creates a 12 word password that can be used to gain access to your funds if your computer/phone happens to die.

I personally don't like the idea of having all my funds on my phone, I misplace that shit all the time!

Recent Apple tech is being investigated for stealing BTC from a customer's phone during repair LOL.

Yeah. But it's MC and not Visa... maybe that's what it is. Tried my Visa first and it wouldn't accept it, so I went with my MC.

    I'm TRYING!!!
