It was a wonderful truck, but to be honest it was a hassle to drive. It had power for days but obviously wasn’t nimble. It was like driving a small building around town. It felt unnecessary. That coupled with the fact that it was 2wd just didn’t give me enough utility.

It also stuck out like a quicksand colored sore thumb. Haha

I’ll give you the quick bullets.

    2017 Tundra:
Tons of power. Way too big and not fun to drive. Just felt clunky.

    2017 SR Taco
4cyl was not enough and turned out to be too stripped down for my tastes. I went too far in the opposite direction.

    2017 TRDOR 4x4
Perfect in my opinion. Smooth and fun to drive. Lots of amenities and tons of utility.

    2000 TRD 4x4
Reliable. Rugged. Dependable. Classic. Awesome truck overall.

Little late to the thread but I just traded in a 2003 Dodge Ram 1500 4x4 for a 2012 DCSB TRD OR. The Dodge had 171k on it and was awful on gas.

Exactly! Haha I traded the Ram for the taco because I didn't need a full sized truck and I wanted a manual. Only things I miss about the Ram were the auto start and heated seats.

I know it can probably be added aftermarket. But does anyone know if auto or remote start is an option on Tacoma's?

Yes it is... sort of. It was really a 1993 SR5, not a 1973. Must have been thinking of the vehicle I had before that which was a 1973 3/4 ton Ford 4x4. I had the SR5 for 17 years. If I hadn’t burned the engine up I might still be driving it. It had some rust issues which had me thinking of a new rig but saying no cause it still ran and was still dependable. I think the thermostat froze which caused the engine to overheat when the radiator was still full. A few days later I was the owner of a brand new 2011 Tacoma. My first brand new vehicle ever. Guess I better go fix my original post.

Have no clue as to why I typed in 1973. It was a 1993. The truck I had before that was a 1973 3/4 ton Ford 4x4. Brain fart.

Thanks. Nothing wrong with the Nissan. Just never really know how much you need a 4 door until you no longer have them. The ride in the Toyota is much better.
