I went and talked to Rich about putting my tacoma slider on the lx but it wouldnt work. I would love his bumper but it is pricey.

 

When you factor in shipping for another bumper though, is his really that bad?

 

Yeah he's pricey, but his work is some of the best I've ever seen. It's literally flawless stuff. I had a long talk with him one day and he talked about his bumpers more as artwork/metal sculpture rather than just a functional bumper. He even does inlays with stainless steel on this rear bumpers.

 

His rear with tire carrier is 2200 plus. It is beautiful though. If money wasn’t a concern, I’d do his front and rear bumpers.

I bought a set of rebuilt ones on ebay for $50. Of course, if Rob can do better, I'd go with him, I didn't think to ask at the time. His probably won't be rebuilt though.

 

Question for everyone.

Does anyone know where I can buy the spare tire removal and wrench set, for fairly cheap?! I've looked on the webs, and found them, but not sure if the price is "fair" or not.

Long story short, I stupidly forgot to take it out from the storage cubby before I went to the PD, to have my youngest's new car seat put on, and I don't want to mess with the seat by removing and trying to put back on since the PD did a great job and I don't think I'll get it back correctly.

 

I bet Rob has those by the dozen ready for the picking. Might not have the correct key for your factory wheel locks though.

 

Not too worried about the key part... more worried about the actual piece to I can "re-install" my spare since I still haven't put it back from the FF spray meet up.
