If you want the Pro and can get it at a good price, go with the Pro. It's always better to have than to want. I love my TRD Off Road, but I do like the fog lights, leather seats and grill on the PRO.

Are 2018 vastly more expensive than 2017s? 45 and 55 for an OR and Pro is a huge difference...

Put a deposit down for the Pro tonight. Still undecided, but since I have three more months until I return home, I have the luxury of ordering the Pro with a $500 refundable deposit. This allows me to test drive and compare all the models. Dealership didn't want to do it at first without me being 100% committed, but I argued that since these are in such demand and if decide to go with an OR instead, it should not be difficult to sell.

Dealer Quoted me at MSRP of 44.7K

Are you really replacing your $3200 Fox suspension for this $350 set up? What makes it exclusive to the Pro?

It wouldn't actually replace it. It'd just be on top of. That photo is not representative of the product at all. It's spacers for the front and AALs for the back. The AALs in the back are whatever but the spacers up front are pretty gross.

No should only be minimal increase. Those should be more like 35 and 45.

If the price gap between the pro and off road was only 2-3k, I could see doing it. But around here the gap is at least 7k. It simply doesn't make financial sense for me so I bought the off road.

It's your money but you can buy a lot of goodies for 7k.

Ya...you could go with something else but... It's kinda like, I want a Harley but I'll buy a V-Star instead. Still a V-Twin bike right? Wrong!

    IMG_8692.jpg Taco2.jpg I love my PRO.

That isn't a valid comparison. It would be more like comparing a Street Glide to a Street Glide CVO.

The Harley analogy is actually a good one. You can buy a Harley factory customized or do it yourself. People spend 10's of thousands customizing their bikes.

I just don't like giving money away. If you aren't buying an exclusive color, you kind of are.

But as they say, it's your money.

Agree. But, a customized Street Glide won’t bring the money that a CVO will in the years ahead. A
Pro will always be a Pro and will sell for more.

Buy a sport. Put a locker in it. Put springs on it. Now you have a pro without all the electrical stuff that is basically useless and is undoubtedly going to fail and be really expensive to fix and not use.

At the time I was ready to buy, I strongly considered the Pro. Primarily because I wanted the black leather interior. If Midnight Black had been an available color, there's a good chance I would have one.

Now that black leather is available in the Pro, Sport, OR, and I assume Limited, I could really buy an OR configured exactly like I wanted.

But not knowing all that a year ago, I purchased knowing I could add Clazzio leather cheaper when I was ready.

I can afford the Pro, but white, cement and red were no where near the top of my color list. Blue isn't either. At least not the 2018 blue.

Toyota has really changed the options for 2018. By offering leather on the Sport and OR, it's possible they cannibalize Pro unit sales and have to discount Pros to move units. Another scenario is that the Pro sales remain strong and they sell more OR's with the Prem and Tech packages. I thought initially it might hurt Pro sales, but I'm changing my mind.

The one thing I think Toyota should do for brand and loyalty is have Pro only colors. Or improve the performance to really differentiate the Pro model.

Should be interesting to watch their unit sales the next couple of quarters.

Yes, I know. But they didn't in 2017 when I purchased.

Bro, mine should be available by end of this year, I can't wait:cheers:. What wheels and tires are you doing? I think I am going to go with FN FX PRO in matte black and KO2s. As for the lift, who is going to install the Revtek? I found out 4wheels & Toyota won't touch it, I was told they won't do it becuase the 2018 has the TSS, and it will not work properly with a lift:notsure:

How did you get $1000 off of MSRP?
