I do. Just like most places they have good prices on certain things. We use their coupons for items and then it becomes enticing, but there isn't always a coupon for the item you are looking for. The one we go to has a gas station (not sure if they all do?) and they have some of the best price gas I see regularly.

We also don't pay for the membership. One of my wife's best friends works at their corporate office and gave us one of her free memberships.

Yes, unfortunately the guy has plans for like noon so I got to meet him at like 10:30. I'd hang around until you got out of work but I think it would make a long day for me.

Ouch that's rough; I think I would go insane if I couldn't make it to a mountain at least once in a season

I went to college in VT. So we would duck out of class if there was a big enough storm or do Saturday runs. Moved to Michigan which has no mountains at all lol and then moved back home to NY and all we have close by is Jiminy Peak, which is a decent mountain but the damn lift tickets for them are insane

I wished I had thought of that aspect when looking at schools, might have ended up north instead of in CT. Yeah the lift tickets are always a killer; the last few 2 years I got the Mt. Snow/Stratton pass then the Mt. Snow +6 other mountains pass for ~$400 so a few trips made the tickets cheaper thankfully. Now I get to be spoiled this year; parents bought a condo at Sunday River :woot::yay:Since St. Patricks day I would say I've boarded 4-5 times and the season hasn't even started really.

Yeah, I don't even get out until 1 so you'd have to kill time for like 2 hours after you got it loaded.

Holy shit that's outrageous! That's what my pass to SR was but, I got the highest tier one for no blackouts and discounts. At least SR has the size to warrant the cost vs JP. Not sure where you are located but, Mt. Snow isn't too much further north for a little bigger of an option.

I'm not sure if you've heard of it before but Liftopia sells discounted lift tickets, earlier you buy the cheaper the price. This helped save me a lot before getting a pass.

I've never heard of that I'll def check it out. I'm kind of right on the NY/MA/VT border. Kind of close enough to most mountains but not quite that I can drop in on a whim

That's not far from where I grew up, we always headed up to Gore. The local mountains aren't worth it in my opinion. JP and West are OK but aren't the big and are just as expensive as Gore was. Of course, back then I was getting a season pass for both Gore and Whiteface for $200... I'm sure that's changed a bit by now.

How far away are you from Willard 'Mountain'?

The gas today was $2.29. Next cheapest place I know, it's $2.43 if you pay cash. I'm thinking anything I'd be saving at BJ's, I'd be burning in gas getting there.

I know that feeling and I'm probably further away from most good mountains: Mt. Snow 2.5hrs; the killer is SR is 4hrs away, that one is a long drive. I technically have 2 hills 30 mins or less away but, it isn't enough for me. Ski Ward in Shrewsbury is literally a hill and Wachusett is just a bigger hill.

Yep, and not gonna take much time to load it because I am taking the trailer. We will have to hook up one of these times I am either driving north or south past you, since I will be doing a lot of that soon. Already got my current sled registered in Maine, haven't even reg'd it in NH yet.

I love my new truck but miss my Tacoma
As you stated before it's only 7 miles away. It's not like you're going to burn up a half a tank of gas to get there or anything. That's not far. Typical Rhode Islander ("I drove all the way from") Lol.

Christ, I twice that far to get my Chinese food!

yeah and generally those types of mountains are always packed. I liked doing Sugar Bush, was big enough you weren't crashing in to people and had decent trails that you could cut in and out of if you wanted to bail on a difficult trail

I don't really shop at BJ's much because I live alone and shopping in bulk doesn't make sense but I do have a membership for the exclusive reason that they have amazing meats there. Seriously, it could be the best butcher shop in NH.
