Not sure if this counts, but it's too funny not to share. I took some tape out of my truck to prank my supervisor. We have a cut-out of my boss's face on a paint stick and we've been hiding it places around the office and it's actually really startling when you find him.

My supervisor however, always leaves his car keys on his desk and was called into a meeting all day so I took the tape out of my truck to tape up this face in his back seat so he would see it in his rear-view mirror.

Get to work this morning and he told me he left late, was driving home in the dark, was making a turn and a street light shone on the face and he about shit himself. He said he reached for a little wooden bat he carries in his door.

I bought one! A 2011 DCSB Prerunner with 87K on the odometer. Not new to Toyota trucks, happy to be in one again.
Anyone know how to get the cab to not smell? It smells like maybe the previous owner smoked.

I'd say Fabreeze the crap out of it, maybe try to clean the seats somehow, and change the cabin air filter, just in case.

What charge pad is that and does it require swapping out your phone battery?

I’d do a full wipe down of the interior with some vehicle interior wipes or cleaner of choice and steam clean the seats and carpet. Maybe then put one of those sodium bicarbonate/baking soda type deodorizer boxes in the rear floor board after.

Congrats on the truck! Definitely clean all the interior, shampoo the carpets if you can, and then if you can find one leave an ozone generator in there for a bit, not more than a few hours probably, and let the truck air out for a bit before you get in, ozone is the best deodorization process I've yet to come across.

You could probably go longer, but it shouldn't be needed for that amount of space. There's rumors that it can damage softer plastics with enough exposure, but I've never seen the evidence to back it up. It literally burns odors instead of masking them.

Pull the carpet and upgrade to vinyl flooring. Upgrade to katskins. Then only the headliner and doors will stink :p

Awesome! If your truck is anything like mine, you may want to get some penetrating lube on all your bolts now and let that start soaking in. Getting my springs and shocks installed was a lot of work, but totally worth it. Good luck!
