What happens if you have a crappy view of your neighbors 80's and 70's rusted out F150's?

I bought my Vette from someone in CT. Rather than make two trips down to pay for it, get the title and register it and then pick it up, I kicked the seller $100 to drive it up to my house and pick up the check at my bank. Made it super easy and above board for all involved.

My Mom has a membership and I got a card out of it. I usually use it for paper towels / Ziplocs / diapers / wipes. The price difference between Amazon and BJs is basically moot when you factor in coupons. We received a ton of diapers at the shower so I didn't want to do the subscribe and save yet until we know what we need. The prices were close enough that it wasn't really an issue for me.

 

Very nice! I've got my eyes on the KC 30" once for my truck. I just sold my IPFs since I don't see myself doing a plate bumper in the near future, but the 30" bar sits behind the grille so nicely. I'm probably overpaying for the KC, but I figure there has to be a middle ground between the generic Alibaba / Amazon stuff and the Rigid stuff. I've liked the KC stuff I've used in the past.

 

Got home today and my office had heat but the main house didn't. Think I had a circulator fail. Just get a clunk out of it when I turn the main zone on. At least I have two other zones that I can crank up to bleed heat into the main house until my guy can come figure it out. Plus a propane fireplace if I really get desperate.

Didn't want to spend any more money this month than I already had!

 

What kind of heating system do you have?

 

For those of you that have their CB antennas permantly attached do you have any issues with going into parking garages? Since most have a spring does it just flex out of the way? I'm just trying to get an idea for mounting locations and my 2 ideas would have it a good chunk above my roof and I want to see if it's something that I would have to take into account when heading into Boston or where-ever. @mach1man001? @BadDNA? I can't remember who else I saw with one attached. Back up option would likely be a magnetic one to put on when needed but, having a permanent one may be nice for longer drives to the mountains.

 

Hot water baseboard, oil boiler. Three total zones. Of course the one that went is the one that does most of the main house. Other two are just my office addition and the basement.

 

I had the quick disconnect on my first antenna, and it broke. Right now I have a Wilson flex on a medium spring because it it's the garage door

 

It will wear out the tip on the firestik, replacements are cheap enough. But i can tuck mine under a tie down cleat so it doesnt scrape cement the whole time

 

Yeah I've read on Reddit that just because it says "Flushable" doesn't mean it is.

That's another reason I'm thinking of getting a whip antenna. They are so flexible that I could tie it way down and out of the way if needed!

when i go through the car wash i tuck it into the bed rail so it doesn't hit anything

 

I have a 4' firestik with a heavy duty spring so it has a lot more give than hard mounting one. An 8' whip will give the best reception though

 

I don't think the circulator failed. I think the relay/control box for that zone has issues. I can spin the circulator easily if I remove the screw seal. The box just buzzes like crazy and the circulator does absolutely nothing.

The wiring is confusing too because neutral isn't consistently white and hot isn't consistently black. It's like they just found whatever wire they had and ran it between the control boxes

 

I have a 3 foot flexible antenna on a heavy spring.
