Anyone interested in some 285/70/17 Cooper STTs? (STTs are the predecessor to the STT pro M/T) I have two with some life left in them. Probably about 40k miles on them. No patches (I think) $20 each. I know: "pics", just throwing it out there if there is any interest.

If I had a place to store them I'd be down. Let me get back to you on that!

I heard rat poop helps balance bigger tires. An earth friendly version of those balls they sell to do that.

Anyone local to Glendale who is good with plastidip? i want to change the color of a pair of bicycle fenders to red. I figure plastidip would be easier to correct than spray can, right?

I have never used plastidip. I would think just a good kylon paint in a rattle can would be easiest.

i haven't ordered the fenders yet... the bare fenders are $30, then whatever it will cost to paint... i found a potential company that manufactures red fenders for $50, so it may be better to get them already in red, ya know?

The trick with plastidip is to lay on several thin coats. The more coats you lay down (the thicker the end-product), the easier it is to peel off because it forms a stronger "sheet". A lot of guys that have problems peeling it is because they just stop when they get uniform color coverage. The other problem people have is saturating the surface and laying the dip too thick. It globs up bad and as the material off-gasses you get bubbles or lumps and you're end product looks like some slathered on sloppy-joe. It's the same principal with paint to avoid runs. Either way, I can help Mike.

yas the more layers, the easier it is to peel.

Hi Guys, SocalYotas and DesertMedia are grouping up in Costco Lakewood and delivering non perishable food and water to the Arleta evacuation center. I was thinking of maybe having another group from the valley. Maybe we can meet up at Northridge costco or Van Nuys Costco so we can help and bring more food and water to those people devastated by the wild fire. Just a thought. Thanks everyone.
