Price is actually really not bad for quality Forged wheels. Forging is not cheap and roughly 3x stronger than cast. Compared to my Forged TRD wheels, these shed 36lbs rotational weight off my current setup which would be a huge performance factor. For comparison, the OEMs cost $1600 + nearly $200 for the mount kit.

What prevents me from considering the option is the 8.5" width. Why so wide? Anyone who airs down off road knows that a narrower width is better for holding a bead. Toyota really nailed the ideal width of 7.5" for those not running extreme tires.

Good looking wheels though. Hope they are offered in a narrower width in the future.

Great insight! Correct on the forged wheel, the last thing i wanna worry about out on the trails is either my suspension, brakes or wheels give on me. This takes care of the wheel factor.

The wider width was chosen to widen the wheel base hopefully offering a bit more of stability but we also had in mind those running 295, 305 or even 315 width tires as the wider wheel would be better equipped to cater to those tires. We will be offering an 8 inch wide in the future for those not planning to run the wider width tires.

Nice! Any word on what additional weight savings the additional 0.5” will make? I’m assuming these are already passed the design stage at this point. 8” wide is the widest I’d consider and a reasonable size but have you considered it may be too close to your current offering of 8.5”? Any word on how far in the future?

The 8s are gonna be at earliest mid to 3rd quarter of next year. Not much weight saving as your only losing 1/2 on barrel but as exact weights come out then we will post. Thanks!
