    Used to be a ski park about a mile from where I grew up. Ski Starlite. Never skied. Just skimmin' for wimmin' @ the lounge. I was fairly successful! Loved the place. Huge law suit over someone hitting a tree shut it down.

    And Jesus wept.

    Feeling like a yo yo at the moment.

    Was in favor of Rush. Then the weather started looking unpredictable. Still calling for snow flurries/ icing roads along I 64 corridor between Louisville and Lexington Saturday afternoon/evening. Just about the time I was starting to talk myself into trying it, we get a phone call from Sandy's family in Lietchfield. Her only living aunt is getting pretty bad off. And her cousin that we're both pretty close to has stage 4 pancreatic cancer and is 50/50 on making it to Christmas. They want us to come see them this weekend. So....we head west regardless of weather.

    It's a pretty sweet place! In one day, it moved to near the top of our (Sandy and me) list of best trail systems. From what we saw, it can get kinda muddy....Not standing water in holes with solid bottoms, but REAL mud that we compared to driving in peanut butter. We were looking forward to going back. Then weather concerns and family (health) issues sorta killed that. Will be back up there next spring/summer/fall though.

    Hahaha. Yeah, I'm not sharing that info...I reckon.

    We go every year, as both of my kids were born on December 11th.

    The first year we went, they were replacing the siding and the roof on the back side of the swimming area, and our balcony faced that area. I watched that shit get completed in damn near one morning. Kinda crazy.

    My mother in law foots the bill....as it is the kid's birthday present....She comes along and stays with her RD in another room and they will usually watch the kids one night so we can get white girl wasted and have fun on the big slides...lol.
