I only took a quick look at the filler neck. Wondering if it could be replaced with a racing style one so a flush mount style could be done. Seems that the neck is just clamped on. Again didn’t really check fully yet as cleaning up the wiring was a bit more important.

It’s all integrated. The cap serves a purpose and if you don’t have one that does the same thing it’ll throw a CEL.

Lovely. Guess I’m just going to mess with it then. Thanks for the heads up.

I appreciate all the patience.

I did a decent amount of sanding this weekend. All I have left is the roof panel. Saved the hardest to reach for last!

I was going to show a closeup of the panel surface but the cold weather shut my phone down as I was trying to shoot the photo. I’m going to finish up the sanding tomorrow night. We’ll take a look then.

Finished all of the rough exterior sanding last night! That felt good. Now I’m going to move on to finishing the door opening. There is a lot of fussy work to do there. I’ll be on that starting tonight.

You may have mentioned it, but where did you order doors from?

I’m making my door. That’s why it’s fussy. Having a drop in solution like a window would be awesome but I didn’t see anything I liked. Tear drops seem to find okay doors but they didn’t fit what I wanted: maximized size for the space available.

I want a 36 x 40 door and the biggest teardrop size I found was 30 x 36. Which, in hindsight, I would have bought the insulated 30 x 36, dropped it in and been in heaven. Too late for me. I’m sure I’ll like the extra room in the door opening but...it would save me two calendar weeks of work (or more) to just drop it in and be done. Love Hindsight! Haha.

See, Marty gets it! It wouldn’t be a proper 1BC build thread if it didn’t span multiple years.

When you installed the flatbed, what did you do with the breather tube on the filler neck? Replace it with rubber hose? The solid metal breather is not happy with the new angle its at.
