You know what's REALLY going to effect TSS?

    - Rain
    - Snow
    - Wind
    - Fog
    - Smoke
    - Dirt
    - Mud
    - Bugs
    - Bubble gum

2-3" is nothing. This is all just a bunch of arm chair hysteria.

...Ordering an OME kit and tires tomorrow.

While I agree that the height is BS..radar is not affected by anything mentioned above.

Following up on your question "why didn't anyone contact corporate", I did that tonight. I was told by the two different people at corporate that what the dealer told me in fact was accurate.

This is the real reason dealers aren't allowed to do lifts on TSS vehicles...

Oh so only 2 of the items you actually listed.

Anyway, thats not exactly how radar works and Toyota is trying to avoid liability to convenient and easy copout.

So that illistration shows the radar projecting up or down. With a truck lifted it would still project straight ahead. It's banded so shouldnt matter

Do you even read? It says it can elad to an accident and snow, rain, fog and dust can lead to accidents without TSS. It also just says it will turn off not that the radar is truley impeded...again liability

    Still don't see

    - Wind
    - Fog
    - Smoke
    - Dirt
    - Bugs

    I'll give you mud.

Come back when you win a Warren D white award and we can talk radar.

Toyota is just giving themselves a way out so that when the inevitable happens, they can tell someone to go pound sand cause we told you don't do it.

Toyota is a business, they make business decisions. Engineers design things to be great, marketing designs them to be economic.

Toyota as a coproatation isn't inherently smarter than some individuals but they do have good engineers.

Contrary to you opinion, there are people here who Toyota could not pay enough to work for them...

It's real simple. There have already been posts where corporate has said they don't recommend it. Ok. That translates into don't fucking do it or when you have a warranty claim, and you dicked with your truck, affecting the TSS, you are fucked. All the bitching in the world ain't gonna help, call corporate,Satan, Jesus, Buddha or whoever, it ain't gonna matter. With that in mind, whoever spends the 35-40 grand can do what the fuck they want, just go into it knowing there may be consequences.
