    Thanks, Rob!

That first link is the closest thing I've seen to what I'm looking for. Seems like the 2nd Gen inferno color had more red in it and the 3rd Gen has more orange in it but maybe I'm just crazy.

You're in luck cause I had recently taken this picture last week! :D It's not mine, but I have seen this guy twice in the last month.

With all of the mods on this guy (there's more on the front), so I assume he's on TW...?

Yea, the colors online are so subjective. Everything plays a role. Half the time my pics of my truck look more red than orange to me. So don't put too much thought into that.

I doubt any variation of black would look bad with any variation of orange.

There is also an Inferno with a black Softtopper on this page:

The black topper looks good for sure - I am more trying to find an example of a charcoal/grey topper with the 3rd gen inferno color but it doesn't seem to exist anywhere on the internets.

After seeing the black bumpers/softopper combo on your link the black bumper swap might be growing on me more... so thank you for that haha

I use it to attach the dogs' harnesses when they ride in the bed. The chain/carabiners allow you to get the exact length right for diff size dogs (we have a few that ride back there). I actually have found it to be useful as sort of a "quick attachment" point for other random things I haul too. I rigged that up the day I bought the truck and it works so well I doubt I'll remove it at all until I get a softopper. It's basically one of these but less money and much higher quality IMO:

Thanks. Those carabiners are not safe for dogs. They can twist out of them pretty easily if they get worked up. You should use screw gate carabiners also called locking carabiners.

My corgi is houdini so I have direct experience in this.

Interesting. I do like the idea of the screwing ones more just not quite as handy to use. How the heck did your dog get out of one?? I snap the loop end of the leash in the carbiner and I don't see how they'd possibly get it out. I've used the setup at least 50 times so far. It's the same concept as hooking the leash to the dogs harness on the other end. The carabiners are rated for 200 lbs...

You are probably ok. When i was using a spring gate attached to my dogs harness he could spin, and spin the leash out of it. I was using a 16" choke collar to extend the regular leash and prevent my pup from chewing the regular leash. See pic.

After I switched to lock gates, he could not spin it off the carabiner.

Since you are tethered at the other end, it probably won't happen, but I will never use them again.

Herding dogs spin a lot to change direction.

Please note the Inferno harness. :D
