Why do you need the sensors??? You have a foot for brakes, hands for the wheel and eyes for the road...best sensors.
If somebody is hitting you hard in the back, is the sensors going to stop you from hitting the car in the front?

Dealer also probably says no towing or hauling heavy loads because that may cause an accident too...

I ran into the same issues when we were buying my wife's Forester XT. You can't lower the ones with the safety sense junk, so I got a premium sans the sensors so I could get coilovers. I'm sure you could recalibrate within certain parameters.

I didn't read this whole thread, but surely a level can't throw it that far off, if that's the case, hauling a trailer or a load in the bed would cause the sensors to act up?

There are times I wish I had the luxuries of the p&t package, OR package etc. Then other times I'm really glad I bought my basic ass SR...
