I just saw the highlights to the Sens @ Ana game. Wtf was the point of the Perry Phaneuf fight. Phaneuf would destroy Perry IMO but they both seemed to just tuck and defend.

 

Yeah it was a weird one. Not only that, but Ana were on the PP at that time, and Perry went in picking a fight. So I really dont know if words were exchanged or what started the whole thing, but its rare to see a player on the PP start a fight so willingly.

 

I didn't see it live but the cast I was watching showed the replay of Boucher and he was ppiisseeeddd.

 

1. He was crosschecked.
2. Phaenuf vs Getzlaf wasn't possible so he dropped 'em with the next closest.
3. It's Perry.
4. Manson must've not been on the PP. He would've made it entertaining.

Not shocking. I think the league is getting tired of him.

 

Watching him play for team Canada, Sutter was holding him back big time. Doughty has the skills to be a puck carrying defenseman and not bite his team in the ass doing so, which is a rarity now.
