Meet "Thunder"

Over the past 4 months here is what I’ve done to create the truck of my dreams.
2016 Sport 4x4
1. CBI aluminum front bumper
2. CBI high clearance steel back bumper
3. CBI rom rock sliders (in the mail)
4. 4.88 Nitro gears
5. ARB air lockers back and front (fully locked)
6. BD S8 20inch light bars x2
7. Stage 4 Icon suspension with 2.5 inch lift
8. K&N cold air intake
9. Magaflow exaust
10. Replaced every speaker with Alpines and added 2 JLB 8s and an Alpine amp
11. Uniden CB radio
12. 285/70 17 KO2s x 5
13. TRD wheels x 5
14. Warn 10k winch
15. DB custom grill
16. Warrior Bed Tire Carrier
17. Edge monitor
18. 3 RCI steel skid plates down the center

 

Where did you put the Uniden CB?

 

That's the sickest Tacoma I've ever seen.
But really, good job. Nice taste of mods.

 

Awesome setup man. How complicated was the ARB locker and compresser hookup? Did you do it yourself or had a shop do it?

Here are a couple pics I have but don’t think they will do justice to your question. The antenna was mounted driver side, Bed, about 3 inches aft of the cab. The radio I purchased was large and I’ve gathered a smaller radio would have been adequate but non the less I mounted it driver side on the center console. I’m short so it fit fine, others may have issues.

 

Sierra Expiditions in Mesa AZ did most of the work...I first heard about them on here with guys talking about gears...had them do both my lockers and gears and tested them this weekend...perfection...

I'm messing around. Sick truck! The more third gens I see, the more I want one. I agree with others too, it's very tasteful. Once you go 35s and beyond you run into all sorts of PITA issues. I know from experience .

@AZ4WTACO amazing build. I'm getting ready to pull the trigger on suspension for my 2nd gen. Considering the Stage 4, any regrets or recommendations? Did you end up going with the billet or tubular UCAs?

I have zero regrets...my brother and I nicknamed the Icons (stage 4) "butter"... by far, of all the mods Ive done to the truck, the Icons are the most noticeable difference and are simply incredible...I pride myself on being a researcher before I buy...that being said I went with the tubular UCAs.. Ive read time and time again that the billets are nothing more than eye candy that sells well and I would agree...they would look sick but not worth the extra $ in my opinion... #ive only offroaded with the icons twice but so far i cant stress how impressed i am..the best investment Ive made on the truck, hands down.

yeah, I learned a lot from my brother who had an Exterra with 35s and a body lift....it was his experience that i learned from and was pointed in the right direction to "do it right"...
