Invoice doesn't matter. It's an imaginary number used as a baseline. It doesn't actually represent the true dealer "cost" that they paid. There's always more room to negotiate than they will let you believe they have.

I'm in Upstate NY, and ordered the truck from a dealer near Boston MA. It took a few weeks of emailing a bunch of dealers, but it was worth it. It is probably easier now that it is closer to 2018.. Most dealers didn't want to get involved with 'ordering' a truck for me.

Hmmmm. Well congrats if u got it under Invoice! Sounds like that paid off. Idk that I'll be so lucky, but I could try some cold calling. It seems like my truck, according to AutoTrader & NADA has a $3,000 difference between Invoice & MSRP. I'm trying to hook my guy up, but not that well!

Does anyone know if it is possible to snag something like a 7559 at invoice ($31,696) + the $995 shipping?

I'm finding that most dealers want to add on mud flaps, weather tech crap, running boards, tonneau covers and on and on and on.

Hell, is it possible to get something like a 7559 below invoice?

I guess the Invoice price gives me a great starting point for negotiating but I'm not paying MSRP. No way, no how.

I am thinking about the 2018 Tacoma Double Cab v6 Manual short box,
I love that it comes fully loaded including black leather interior and a sunroof and not to mention the colour options. Cement Grey or Barcelona Red still cant decide.

I flew from Seattle to Austin and drove back for mine. If you have any friends or family that can let you register in Oregon or Montana for 90 days, you can save the 10%. Also, Seattle wouldn't budge on price, so I definitely had to go elsewhere. I saved nearly $9,000 by going out of state. PM if you're interested in details.

Openly admitting to evading tax is probably not a good thing to announce in a forum.

Just as you can turn down a dealer's price and walk out they do not have to accept your offer. Anyone that thinks they have the upper hand on a dealer is ignorant.

Yes sir, it goes both ways. A deal has to be acceptable to both parties.

    Ok need some advice.

Found a 2017 Barcelona red, TRD OR 4x4. It’s online, says they had it for 37k, now at sale price of 35k. Think I could haggle down at least 1k? If not would 35k before TTL be good for a 2017?

have you received any updates on your order? The dealer i left a deposit with is saying that they are not able to confirm the order. SED are not accepting the build.

I never heard anything back in 2-3 weeks after placing my order. A local dealer called me this weekend and said they just got my exact truck in and would "try" to match the offer I had with my ordered truck. I negotiated a slightly less juicy deal of $750 less than invoice and bought my 2018 Tacoma Sunday night. When I factored in no 1,000 mile round trip travel and 2-3 month wait to get the truck, this turned out to be the better deal. And I GOT MY TRUCK. Woohoo!

So, I am the proud new owner of a 2018 Tacoma Off Road DCSB 4x4 in Super White with Premium Off Road Package (black leather interior with gunmetal) and Technology Package. I also got a few options like tonneau cover, bedmat, and alarm system with glass break sensor. Total cost: $750 less than invoice + TTL.

I got the windows tinted the very next day, installed my NFab steps and the truck goes in tomorrow morning to have the lift and wheel/tires installed. I waste no time, heheh.

    Love the truck so far!

Nice!! Congrats!! I just got confirmation that my truck was built yesterday and should be here by the weekend. I shall not waste any time starting on mods either!

    Congrats!
My dealer is telling me now after 3 weeks that SED is not accepting my order - due to the 7544/Cement and Premium/Tech combo. I had him try just Cement and Premium package and have received no response. I will be cancelling my order and getting my 2k deposit back.
Funny - he told me that he can have the port change out the interior from Graphite cloth to black leather trim. oh, he said they would also add the sunroof.
    Enjoy the ride.
