What a shame. Well I took off my rack and building one to sit flush over the bed. Still utilizing my mounts. So I can change out my racks if need be. Hopefully I'll see some gains there. I'll be rocking this setup when I drive home this month. It' going to look weird without the softopper

I also don' know how you deal with that traffic man. This is a complete guarantee that I'm not going to tune my ride

You should build it just a little over the rails. Just enough so the tent doesn’t pole above the roof. Flush with the bed makes loading and unloading stuff suuuuuuck. I had a really low one for while. I hated it.

Haha. I’m used to it now. I actually feel weird doing the speed limit now a days.

Ill trade it for no freezing temps though.

Now the crime. That’s another story.

One day I want to move somewhere mountainous/forest. Just gotta get rich first.

With the way my mounts are setup it should sit 3-4 inches above the bed rail. Enough to fit a hand in there. But my spare is already in there so that takes up most of the bed space.
Gotta get used to the cold then lol

How do you like the sound of it?

I've been wanting a little noise lately.

I like the sound but it does drone. I had the turn down version initially and my wife never wanted to drive in my truck it was so bad. I ended up not liking it either with the way it drones. I contacted mbrp and all their exhausts are interchangleble so I got the tail pipe assembly and it's definitely decreased the drone but it's still there. The sound is crisp, kinda ricer though

I'm keeping a portion of it. It will be a turn down but tucked up higher over the axle. The original turn down is before the axle only about a foot off the ground which is why it resonates so loud. The sound literally bounces off the ground and back up

I think I might know what you’re talking about. Magnaflow OR exhaust on mine and it can get a bit much with windows closed
