    I would personally agree with this, but I love a flashlight with high med and low modes so you can dictate the correct amount of light for whatever you’re doing, and also retain more battery life

    I get what you are saying.

    For distance viewing it is OK - but for lighting the trail while walking, for instance, there is too much reflection, and it hurts the eyes. (Yes, I know I have a lower power setting - but that was not my point.)
