I have a 2017 OR 4x4 and I want to upgrade my suspension. I'm doing this because I want little more height and so that I can start doing some serious overlanding. I've been researching all the options and deiced that I want to go with either King or Fox full set ups with both front and rear remote reservoir's.

Just wanted to see what people are running and how they like there set ups? Any input or thoughts are appreciated! Feel free to throw some pics up if you have them:thumbsup:

I've had both and both run awesome. Also I service shocks and between the top 4 brands ive seen ( king fox sway away and icon) king fox and sway away are very similiar. IMO fox and king has a good blend of on road handling and offroad but my sway aways blew me away with their valving out of the box and it was ridiculously smooth.

Both are good in their own ways. I have Fox (got a good deal on it) but I think Kings are a lot better IMO.

Well my 2017 OR has an issue with the Toytec Boss Performance coil overs and might be getting replaced under warranty by Toytec with King’s. Don’t know what that says about anything, but I’m pretty sure I get the better end of that deal.

Call me basic, but I'm just going to go for (no external bypass reservoir) Fox 2.0 shocks and AAL for my truck.

Really can't go wrong either way. Pick a color. I went with King's.

I am about to pull the trigger on ToyTec Boss Performance unless someone talks me out of it. One of the local installers loves them and goes out every weekend.

I run 2.5 IFP FOX and I agree. Unless you're (1) do lots of high speed washboard or (b) need overland cred they are overkill. But as they say, overkill never fails.

When you adjust your coil overs up or down 0.5” is it necessary for alignment?

Here's a dumb question, what does IFP stand for?

Internal Floating Piston, it's literally a disc inside the body that splits the oil and nitrogen charge to prevent foaming.

what he said. pick a color. I chose fox because I didn't want blue. plus I like the fox DSC adjustors more than kings option.

K&N cold air, Exhaust, rims and tires, 3" king extended travel coilovers and total chaos UCAs, rear diff breather mod, CBI off-road ditch brackets with Cali raised LED pod lights and painless wiring harness, 4xinnovations rock sliders, cab mount chop.
I struggled with this as well. ended up just going with what I thought looked nicer and I went with king. I also ended up getting a good deal form Downsouth motor sports. Im running king extended travel in the front. They came with 600lb rated springs and I didn't know spring rates would matter at the time. But now I do and I'm gonna put my 700lb rates springs on soon. If you plan on running full armor I'd suggest buying them with the heavy rated springs out the gate. My cheap ass though isn't gonna match kings front and rear ill probably run Icons in the rear.

They make kings in all sizes and colors if you want to front the extra coin. I got 2.0 RR rear shocks on mine as we speak.
