I just spent 4 hours detailing the truck so I'm gonna pass. I'd like to keep her clean for at least a little while.

I spent who knows how much at the wash tonight getting mud/dirt out. Going to touch up the sliders and fluid film some afternoon this week. Leaving the detailing to the pros after christmas. Self Car wash back home gave me a crap ton of very visible swirls.

I may be biased but save the paint correction for when you need it. You only have so much paint until it’s gone. The more you wheel the more scratches you will get, the more you will want to correct the paint, but at some point you won’t have any paint left. Vinyl wrap was one of those things I wish I would have done sooner because you can always take it off and have nice clean paint underneath.

If you have no interest in vinyl wrap or clear bra, then staying on top of a thick coat of wax before going out is your best defense, and when you turn to correcting your paint learn on panels from the junk yard instead of your own vehicle

So still don't correct it this time and keep with the wax after? I just don't have the patience for the whole deal. I could spend a Sunday cleaning it up every 6 months no issue.
I have plenty of pinstriping to take care of and a few day to day deeper scratches I need corrected better than I did myself.

We were playing it by ear the whole time so we had no way of telling anyone where we’d be specifically lol. Next time we’ll have a better plan for sure.

Really all your doing it getting your frame clean if any dirt build up. Walmart sells a $5 garden chemical sprayer, fill it up with degreaser, walmart also sells a large container of degreaser.

Go to a car wash and with that $5 1 gal sprayer filled with degreaser spray down your entire frame, any where and everywhere. Than pressure wash everything off nicely.

Once your frame is cleaned and dried, get your fluid film cans together (atleast 3) and spray everything down, it leaves a glossy residue so it’s easy to keep track of what you’ve got and missed. Fluid film is a wax like substance so keeping it off your drive shaft zerks, shock shafts, and the exhaust is a good idea. It can easily be wiped off anything so if you get some where you didn’t want it just wipe with a rag.

You will and should get wet while cleaning the frame, and fluid film sprays better in warmer weather so i would probably wait until the next warm day like this upcoming Sunday
