Well, it’s only 8am in California, so I’m sure his day is just getting started.

That and also I think there is a fire pretty close to where he is at, he will show up when he’s got more info I am sure.

He’s in Escondido I believe, which is about 2 hours south of where the fires are, so he should be fine, minus the smoke.

Still, I’m sure he’ll post some updates. I’m hoping someone with a N/A manual transmission can get to him soon, so he can get those sweet low-end tunes!

It would be cool if he could get a manual trans on the dyno for sure. Ive been waiting to put some more miles on the tune before I give all my thoughts on it, but I will say it does seem to have more low end power as it is right now. With a manual he could probably fine tune that even more, but the truck feels like it has to work less when I’m going up hills when I’m already at speed. Like for example when I’m going up hills it seems it doesn’t drop speed like it used to on the stock tune.

That’s good enough for me right there.

Curious how/if your mileage changes. Without having to huff it up holds like before, I’d imagine your mileage will naturally increase.

Thanks for the update, keep us posted as you can.

Didn’t realize the fires stretched down as far south as you. I’m born and raised So-Cal, but moved to dallas 5 years ago. They’re only talking about the fires in LA and north out here, nothing south of there.

    Stay safe.

Yikes. Hope they stall it. I grew up in Lake Arrowhead, I’ve had more than my fair share of living through wildfires. No fun.

My headers have shifted my powerband up.

My 3 struggle points with the truck are:
1:fuel dump at the shift points (rich 9.0)
    2: Slow shifts
    3: shifts early

I am optimistic that your tuner may be able to address these issues.

Fire= no fun. We've had several big ones where I live. Had to evacuate in 2001. No fun at all!!!

I wouldn't wait, I'd get all the really valuable stuff gathered up and head to wherever is safe. The tune can wait!

    My shit is all stock.
My sis is in vista. The kids had their school cancelled. They’re just south of the voluntary evacuation zone.
Hope they stamp this one out fast.

A question, probably more for OV Tune.

I'm a neophyte in this computer turning world, but from this thread and all I've read on the net, with the right knowledge there seems to be a host of changes possible; some good, some not so good more than likely.

So, based on this thread, I believe it's suggested the OV Hand Held Unit would come with 5 independent tunes one can apply. Will more than five tunes be developed and the customer gets to select the 5 he/she is most interested in or feels he/she needs, or every hand held get the same five tunes?

A more specific scenario, if one of the 5 tunes included were for better performance when towing and one does not have the towing package will there be a substitute tune one will be able to select?

    Thanks
    Bob
