My rear is 4.10 so would that differential work for me if I was going to do manual hubs? Just started gathering parts for my swap.

Yeah. You can use any ADD differential you just have to lock the actuator in 4WD. Easy to do with a hose clamp and 5 minutes.

Shipping would probably throw another $100 on there sadly.

Greyhound does shipping for under $100. I'm guessing this will cost around $50 to ship down

Funny you ask I do have a driver's door. Only the shell, you'd have to transfer all your internals. It needs paint but I'd be willing to paint it to your body color for an extra fee.

Think you could come across any more manual front diff tubes?

Actually got it from a member on here, paid way more than I wanted to for it but I wanted a true manual hub differential. I called a lot of people and no one wanted to separate the jackshaft from the differential - I just got lucky and convinced someone to separate it for me.

Is there any real difference from capping the vacuum lines and locking the add diff in 4wd?

I believe so, I'm really not sure. Maybe @Speedytech7 can answer. Something about the intermediate shafts rotating I think?

Yeah I figure with manual hubs there's no reason to have any vacuum lines running to my diff that can break, leak, etc - I'd rather just have a tube running from one side to the other. All the ADD stuff is delicate looking compared to a solid tube so if it doesn't have to be there I'd rather get rid of it. :)

If you just cap a vacuum add it won't be locked it'll just keep it from getting shit in the diaphragm. You lock the add by sliding the fork by hand and using a hose clamp to keep it there. There's write ups for it, but ideally manual jackshaft is better because you don't have to worry about breaking stub shafts.

lol gotta read and take mine apart because I don't know what a stub shaft is supposed to do.

What's the difference between running a manual tube versus an ADD tube locked in 4WD?

More parts to break in the add tube but functionally they're the same, gotta make sure that actuator can't pop out of 4wd too.

I need me that manual tube lol

Might be cheapest to buy a whole diff, swap it for my add and put it back together and sell it no?

I've found pretty cheap manual diffs on eBay for less than $200. Considering I paid almost that it would be worth it.
