Really looking forward to meeting everyone this Sunday! I got my weekends confused with my wife's soccer tournament so she should be bringing her T4R as well! We will plan to be there by 7:30. I plan to deploy the RTT.

Just a quick recap of what i'll be bringing:

    Tortillas
    Bacon
    Eggs
    Taco Deli Salsa (Roja)
Coleman Propane Stove top grill & Skillet
Table & couple of fold up chairs

If there is anything else I need to bring please just let me know.

Make sure you use a 3/4" punch for the weatherstripping.

Definitely go this route... the drilling method is shit.

Also, while your bars are off, it may be a good time to drill some holes on the tops, like phoosa did, so you can put carriage bolts in without having to remove the bar. I wish I would have...

You should have seen the chaos on UT campus today...

    *sirens in the distance*

Bodies piled high on the sides of the roads, cars flipped over on fire...

Good thing they canceled all classes that started before 10AM. Got out of my 9AM presentation. Good times.

You mean just drill holes straight through a few of the crossbars for later accessory mounting points?

    Truth.
I saw a hardware gizmo thing that allowed use of slots in the 80/20 without using drop in points.

Just can't remember what the hell they were though.

Dude, i know of what you are talking about but i cant remember either. Its like a drop in 80/20 anchor or something... no holes needed. Its going to be quite the effort to pull all the stuff off, take the bars off, drill the holes, replace bars, and replace the gear... im gonna try to find those drop in anchors or whatevs

kind of like these drop in T Nuts:

Definitely. I'm very grateful I didn't tear my weatherstripping in two. It's like playing Russian Roulette with every hole when using a drill. Those spade bits can be murder. In case you like living on the edge, make sure you secure the weatherstripping on both sides of where the hole will be. Once the bit bites it'll try to take the rubber for a ride at full throttle.

The friend I'm staying with bought the slightly newer completely stock version of my Runner so I took a few pictures of them side by side in her driveway.

    Those should do the trick.

Ones I remember had a spring in them to help hold them in place.
