I’m not sure why anyone frequents the place quite frankly. Seems to be a 350lb weight requirement around my parts to be allowed admission.

We went to one in Cleveland TN one time after a funeral.

    It was Valentine's Day weekend.

The place was crawling with obese people on their electric scooters, literally 4 or 5 of them at a time lined around the buffet stations.

It was how you would imagine a buffet at WalMart would look like.

All the food was fresh though, nothing stayed out there for long.

I once dined in a strip club when I was younger because I was hungry... and I mean, like my asshole eating my underwear hungry. It actually wasn't terrible, somewhat better than a few buffets I have been to. It's hard to believe they would allow food to be served in such an environment, especially in the early 80's when everyone had hair... everywhere.

FWIW when I hear Asian Restaurant, I don't think race. In fact it's the last thing I think about. To me it invokes a style of cooking or regional cuisine.

The last time I checked, a restaurant can't be a member of a race.

Perhaps calling this style of restaurant a Non-Occidental style restaurant is less offensive?

BTW the only wedge issues here should involve potatoes. Also this is a vanila-guilt-free ice cream zone as well. :D

As a local I can testify that the Rio has the best buffet in town. Go for the dinner and Seafood line. We get lucky here. Almost all the casinos have buffets . They need to be good or word gets around and they quickly go out of business. Plus add to the fact that they (casinos) don't want to get sued. So cleanliness is a must.

Inferno great story, defiantly would put me off on Buffets for a while. But like others have said "You'll be Back".. LOL!

Is the RIO still $24.99? It's been awhile since I've been there LOL.

Its been a minute for me too. I want to say the "Lunch" is $24.99. But the Dinner is @$32, plus and extra $20 for the seafood. So @$55. Its not cheap, but worth it IMHO.

It's been awhile for me and the prices have been increased...but I'd still do it. The only time I've ever had stone crab.

What goes on at the Rio Buffet stays at the Rio buffet...

To me, eating at Golden Corral is like cheating on your wife. It seems like a good idea at the time, but you feel like shit afterwards...

Worse thing I have ever seen at a buffet was at a golden coral....
Watched a lady take her toddler (3 or so) and change there shitty diaper on the table as she was eating dinner. When she was done she left it on the table as she continued to eat, then left it there and went home. It killed my apatite.

I saw a small girl who sneezed all over a buffett . After that I don't think I have been to one more than a couple of times.
