They aren’t low fat by any means but the overall calories includes everything from sugar packets, to carb drink, etc.

My buddy was Army ADR, I got so many from him I ate them everyday for lunch on the jobsite when it was cold. Some of the entrees were basically warm cardboard, but it was fuel. Truthfully all food has ever been for me.

You have a high metabolism. But as you know its balanced for caloric deficit. I work out twice a day and could not work off 3 MREs in a day.

    For sugar.

    lol.

True. I was blessed with a high metabolism. Plus I usually don't sit down between 6am and 10pm except for driving or meals.

I wish I was. Its a struggle to stay in shape. I eat 1600-1800 calories a day and work out (lift in morning run at night minimum 2.5 miles max 5) just to drop a pound every week.

Average MRE is 1200-1300 calories. Way too much!

I almost always hit 7 miles of walking/climbing ladders a day. Usually carrying material and wearing a 40# toolbelt. That helps.

Alright stupid question, but new to me. My wife got me a portable buddy heater that uses 1 lb propane tanks. When they are empty, do yo refill them or toss them?

There is an adapter that you can use to refill them from a 20# tank

I don't have a 20# tank. I have all NG in my house. These should work well it says 3-6 hours. Just looking to heat the garage for when I have shit to do to the vehicles.

If you go this route they recommend you run a filter because the large tanks have oil in them that could clog the oriface in the heater. Never tried it though so not sure how true it is

We use propane heaters up at camp for the shit house. We run it off the big tank. Never had any issues with it
