Hi guys. I was in 3rd gear and accidentally pulled on the shifter without the clutch and felt the stick rumble a little. Did I grind gears potentially? I couldn't hear because of loud music, thanks!

Relax and enjoy the thought that there are (perhaps) millions of people out there that cannot steal your truck....or, there are (perhaps) millions out there that don't want to because they can't stand manuals. You are in very good company, my friend.

    Nice shifter.

    Dying breed my friend...dying breed.

The needs of the MT outweigh the needs of the colour...

I cross the boarder frequently for my acquisitions...the problem in this situation is the almighty Dollar conversion in conjunction with Toyota Canada being somewhat dodgy with their participation in the warranty for a US vehicle. Tis what it is

What has been peoples experience with going from the 4'30 gears to 4'88 gears when going to 33 inch tall tires (or its metric equivalent)

There's never been a 3rd Gen DCSB OR 6M/T option in Canada AFAIK. DCSB Sport, AC OR, or Pro are your only options for 6M/T (V6).

AC OR 6 M/T is still available in '18 last I checked... but I guess that won't work for you since you need a DC?

Just like the other Canadians here I'm disappointed that we cant get the DCSB OR MT in Canada. The DCSB SPT is the closest for me. So my question is, how much the Sport MT give up compared to the OR MT in off-road capability?

I know stuff like tires, suspension, skid plates can easily be added later, at a cost. But the locking diff seems to be the biggest think the sport is missing compared to the OR. Just wondering if its worth the time and dollars to do a conversion. And is there any thing else the Sport lacks compared to the OR when it comes to off-road performance.

    Thanks,
    Brian

Welcome...I got the 6MT sport. My .02 ... if you're wondering if the locking diff is that big of a deal between the two trims, then you more than likely do not need a locking rear diff for what you do with the truck. I won't pretend to speak for all MT aficionados out there but for me, the MT really enhances the driving experience of this vehicle...all around. Now, the OR has softer suspension than sport...better? Depends on your driving style, and topography.

Either way, the needz of the MT > the needz of anything else.

Unless you hard off-road more than you on road, then find an OR MT, cuz the needz of the MT > the needz of anything else.

    Good luck!
