    Hey Guys,

    Noob question here.
Going into the tire shop next week to get some new tires finally and some wheels. I’m hoping to run 275/70/17 KO2’s on there. I have a TRD Sport DCLB, and I know 275/70/17 would be a stretch in stock suspension. I will be getting the Toytec Boss lift eventually, but being Christmas and such funds don’t meet the the price along with new tires for winter and wheels (stock are God awful). I’ve been looking at getting something temporary while still being able to run a big enough tire that will look good once I am able to get the Toytec lift. I’ve been thinking about doing a 1” Revtek spacer lift up front and putting a 1” block in the rear to clear the tires. My question was, will this actually clear the tires and in someone’s experienced and knowledgeable opinion, does lifting both ends work in terms in functionality etc?
Not looking to off-road yet, just give it a little lift to run a big enough tire while I save up for the other Toytec kit. Also wanting to maintain rake and that is why I am doing 1” on both ends.
    Thanks guys!

Just as an FYI, I know blocks aren’t highly recommended. I don’t need information on what I know. I’m just asking what people’s knowledgeable advice/opinion is. I don’t need more bashing on spacers. I won’t be off-roadig until I get the Toytec kit along with UCA’s.
    Thanks dudes!

Have you noticed any bottoming out on the shocks on big bumps?

Sounds like you are already pretty smart so . . . . . don't screw with it until you are ready to do it right!!

Would add a leaf be a better option?

I went with 265/70/17 on stock suspension and rubbed while doing sharper turns, almost every time I reversed and while turned up/down hill. As others have said, do it once and do it right. I'd get new coils/shocks up front and a new leaf pack or AAL in the rear.

Did you have aftermarket or stock wheels?

Spacers are fine then. I might ride a bit rough but as long as you aren’t doing any serious off reading then go for the cheap setup until you can afford better.

One thing a lot of people don’t understand here is you can do things in stages. It does cost a bit more in the end, but I look at it as renting kits until I find the setup I like.

Install spacer kit, remove spacer kit and install better lift, sell spacer kit. You are out some cash, but that’s where the rental part comes in.

Thanks for the feedback man! That’s what I was looking for. I know they aren’t highly recommend but I wanted to hear what others thought. People don’t understand I will be upgrading but until then I want something haha. Besides, who doesn’t love working on their rig?:bananadance:

Spacer lift it is! Will post pictures of it this weekend once I get it all installed!
